Is th initiative of RERA to regulate and facilitate the Rental Market of Dubai.

This is a new system that will make provisions of Law No. 26 of 2007 effective that is regulating the relationship between Landlords and Tenants in Dubai. This will require all individuals and companies acting as landlords to register tenancy agreements using EJARI.

In order to apply, you will be required a copy of these documents (a scan or a photo in high definition):

  • Tenant’s Passport (for non-GCC countries nationals)
  • Tenant’s UAE Visa (for non-GCC countries nationals)
  • Tenant’s Emirates ID (mandatory)
  • Tenancy Contract
  • Recent DEWA Bill (or DEWA Connection receipt)
  • Title Deeds of the rented property (or alternatively, Affection Plan issued by Dubai Municipality)

If the Tenant is a company, you are also required to submit the company’s Trade License

Since 2017, only the landlord or the tenant are able to apply for Ejary. The broker or third part cannot anymore apply on their behalf. However, the landlord or the tenant can sign a POA in public notary to authorize a third part to manage the process.
